We’re Not OKAY – Good Enough Isn’t Enough

HOW GOOD IS GOOD ENOUGH?  In today’s message taken from Mark 10:17-27, Jesus answers this question to the rich young ruler who asked Him: “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus’ answer was that salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done. The man went away sad because he had many possessions.

Good efforts cannot save us as even good people have ruling idols in their lives. We must take up our cross daily and follow Jesus as the only way to eternal life is through the narrow gate of surrender. What is the thing you quietly say: “I’ll follow God … but not if it cost me that?”.
