The Celebration
International Church Story

Back in 1932 Pastor Alfred White started holding meetings on the Wellesley Park Campgrounds. From mid-June through Labor Day people would gather three times daily to encounter and praise God. Naturally, lives were being transformed through the life-giving message of the Gospel and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. A number of these attendees started purchasing land nearby, and for them the meetings continued year-round. On June 16, 1937, Pastor Alfred White and this little band started Wellesley Park Assembly of God. Their goal was simple, help people connect with God and uncover their fullest potential through a life that praises Him.

Over the years, that goal has been advanced by several great pastors. It has advanced out of a campground “cookshack,” out of a little white church house, even from a downtown coffee house, just to name a few. It has advanced to reach people locally, regionally, and internationally of great diversity. Thus, in the 90’s, Wellesley Park Assembly of God was renamed Celebration International Church.

Today, under the leadership of Pastor Brian Faria, we strive towards the vision of a life worthy of celebration for all. The psalmist once said, that God redeems us from death and crowns us with loving mercies. That alone is cause for celebrating! Yet this is just the beginning.

We invite you to see for yourself how exciting church can be when the focus is simple, and people are free to seek God with passion.

We invite you!

Come see for yourself how exciting church can be when the focus is simple, and people are free to seek God with passion.

OUR VISION

A life worth celebrating for all.

“Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies.”

Psalm 103:1-4

Our Mission

REVEAL

This life worth celebrating begins with knowing Jesus. Therefore, we reveal Christ by first encountering and displaying Him through personal transformation. He reveals life; we reveal Him.
(2 Cor. 5:17-20, Gal. 1:15 -16, 2 Cor. 4:6-7)

RAISE

God has got immeasurably more for us to celebrate. Therefore, we raise people to greater potential/purpose by equipping them for a life of growth and ministry.
(Eph. 4:11-13, John 10:10, Psalm 4:1-13, 3 John 1:2)

REACH

Every person is invaluable and irreplaceable in the eyes of God; each life is worthy of celebration. Therefore, we reach families, communities and the world, by sending people/followers of Jesus.
(Acts 1:8, Rom. 10:14-15, John 17:18)

Our Team

Pastor Brian was born in Brazil and raised in Massachusetts. Having grown up in church, his faith was always a guiding core value. At the age of 23, he encountered Jesus in a much more personal way and decided to pursue the Lord with greater passion.

That pursuit a few short years after, led him to transition from the corporate business world and into ministry training at Northpoint Bible College in Haverhill, MA. There he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and Pastoral Ministries. He also has a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Johnson & Wales University.

Brian has called Celebration International Church “home,” since 2008. In 2010, he began serving in various capacities under the former Lead Pastor. That same year, at a church function, he met his wife Nathalia. She has a degree in Sociology and works in the social services field. They have been married since 2016 and have two children, Micah and Charlotte.

As the Children Director, Deirdre pours her heart into nurturing the young minds of our congregation. With a marriage of over 3 decades under her belt, she’s not only a loving spouse but also a proud mother of three, and “Nana” to one precious grandson. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and is a Certified Minister with Assemblies of God. Fun fact, she was in the Flag Corp in Bethune Cookman University’s Marching Band.

Leilani is our Worship Director. She first started singing in church at age 5 in Charlotte, NC. As a child, she sang in Christian plays and youth group. Speaking of which, that includes our church’s youth group back in the 90’s.

She has now been leading worship for many years and has had the opportunity to worship at many different events in many churches and venues. She has also formed and directed both youth and young adult worship teams. Currently she also directs a regional worship team under a New England revival ministry that goes to various cities to worship and preach the word.

Leilani is married and has one son. In her spare time, she loves reading, writing, traveling, taking nature walks and decorating her house. Oh, and she also manages a jewelry store.

Sharon is our Office Administrator. She has 35+ years of office administration experience. She enjoys crafting, decorating, church life and spending time with her family. She has a heart for prayer ministry, to see revival come to New England and is active with a revival team. She is a mom to 2 girls and grandma to 5 boys.

Gina has worked in the child care field since 1999. She has worked in child care centers, nannied, and ran a home day care. She is currently working toward a degree in Early Childhood Education. She is married with two children, a daughter, and a son. Her husband’s military career took them to MA, NJ and CA. They currently live in Framingham. Gina enjoys crafting of all sorts, going to the beach and spending time with her family.

Pastor Eddie is our Associate and Youth Pastor. He grew up in the church with his ordained minister parents. He has always remembered being in church 3 nights a week since he was young. Even though he was the troublemaker, launching Hot Wheels off the pews, he found God at a young age and has held on ever since.

Pastor Eddie attended Evangel University in Springfield, MO where he got his Bachelor’s in Marketing & Youth Ministry, and his Master’s in Organizational Leadership. He also worked at the Assemblies of God headquarters in Springfield, MO before returning home to Massachusetts.

He loves anything and everything related to Boston sports, is an avid rock climber, only drinks ice coffee, and loves seeing YTH students go after the Lord with open hearts.
