The Pattern Of Simplicity

DO YOU HAVE A GREED PROBLEM? In today’s message, Jesus addresses this question in Luke 12:12-21 where He is confronted by two brothers who are fighting over their father’s estate. Jesus warns them to “Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.” He concludes this debate with the admonition that “A person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.”

Regardless of the amount of your earthly possessions, true wealth is measured by who you trust and the richness of your relationship with your heavenly Father. Do you have a life that is rich toward God? It’s an inner life where we receive everything as a gift, trust God with tomorrow and hold what we have with open hands!
