The Foolish: Who To Ignore
ARE YOU PROPERLY DISCERNING FOOLISH VOICES AND REACTING IN WISDOM? Today’s message is taken from 1 Samuel 25:10-29. In this passage, we see the foolishness of Nabal as he responded harshly to King David’s request for food and water for his men. David was planning to respond with the sword, but Nabal’s wife Abigail wisely intervened and made peace of the situation. In a day and age where there is fake news, AI images, and you don’t know what is true or not true, there is the potential to bring you into a whole lot of foolishness. Learn to recognize foolishness – it will be ego-driven, self-centered and lead to provocation. Intervene as Abigail did to prevent harm and chaos. Then entrust the matter to God and let the outcome come in His timing and in His way. Most importantly, wisdom is not just a strategy. Wisdom is a Savior and His name is Jesus!
