More Than A Label

WHAT LABEL HAVE PEOPLE AFFIXED UPON YOU THAT YOU ARE HIDING FROM? Today’s message taken from John 4 describes the encounter that Jesus had with the woman at the well. This woman was labeled as one who had many husbands and was a Samaritan despised by the Jews. Jesus washed away that label by asking her for a drink and offering her living water in return.

Has a label been dictating your life … a mistake … a reputation … a piece of your history that’s convinced you that you are the difficult one … the disqualified one … the one on the outside without a future? Exchange that label for what Jesus wants to give you: “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
