Why Does My Faith Come Alive When I’m Helping Others?

IS YOUR LIFE FOCUSED ON SERVING OTHERS? Today’s message shares the expression of compassion and joy that was evident in our Operation Turkey Express outreach. Faith was never meant to be passive. As we serve others, we are placed in the flow of the Holy Spirit as our hearts are aligned with the works that Jesus did in His earthly ministry. The Lord reveals himself when we are obedient to showing compassion toward others. The joy that comes from serving others is illustrated in Isaiah 58:8-10 (NIV): “if you spend yourself on behalf of the hungry … then your light will break forth like the dawn … your healing will quickly appear … the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard … you will call and the Lord will answer.”
